The most enjoyable time of the year is just around the corner. You also notice this in the supermarket, because most people are busy putting together their Christmas menu and the accompanying drink.

For me, the aperitif is just as important as the dinner itself, because it immediately starts the evening in a festive way. This time I'm not going for the classics like bubbles, but I want to surprise my guests with a special matcha mocktail and cocktail. They are just as green as your Christmas tree, something completely different! ;-)

Get into the Christmas spirit with these two tasty Christmas drinks, so you can also give your guests the choice of a mocktail (non-alcoholic) or a cocktail.

Matcha Spritz Mocktail

During the holidays we often immediately reach for alcohol, but that is not always necessary.

You undoubtedly also have people in your club of friends who do not drink alcohol, so you immediately offer them a nice option. And the pregnant ladies or friends who are concerned with their health will undoubtedly also appreciate this mocktail!

Ingredients (for 1 glass)

  • ½ tsp matcha powder
  • 180 ml sparkling water
  • The juice of half a lime
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • A splash of orange juice (add to taste)

Preparation

  • Bring water to a boil.
  • Mix the matcha powder with a dash of boiling hot water, use the bamboo whisk to beat everything nicely. Note: do not use too much water, as this may cause chunks to form.
  • Add the mixture to a shaker, also add the honey and lime juice.
  • Add some ice cubes to a glass and pour the liquid over it.
  • Then add the spray water.

Matcha cocktail
