Matcha latte is such a versatile drink: you can drink it both cold and hot and there are many different flavor combinations possible.

In the spring and summer, a matcha latte is wonderfully refreshing with lots of ice and you can opt for summer flavors.

To give you some inspiration, I made three different lattes with strawberry, cherry and pineapple. Literally summer in your glass! :-)

What do you need?

(For 3 glasses)

Accessories:

Ingredients:

  • 6 teaspoons of matcha powder
  • 600 ml milk (you can choose vegetable or animal here) I used almond milk.
  • A handful of strawberries, cherries and pineapple.
  • 90 ml of cold water
  • Ice cubes
making iced matcha latte

How do you make these matcha lattes with summer fruits?

  • Prepare 3 glasses (if you want to make 3 different lattes.)
  • Make a cold matcha shot by whisking 6 teaspoons of matcha powder in 90 ml of cold water. You use the bamboo beater for this, so that no chunks are left behind.
  • Then froth 600 ml of cold milk.
  • Put the strawberries in a glass, the cherries (seedless) in the second glass and pineapple chunks in the third glass. Tamp the fruit and make sure there is a layer of about 2 cm. This forms the bottom layer and must therefore be 'firm' and nicely evenly distributed.
  • Then add ice cubes to each glass and pour the cold milk on top.
  • Pour the cold matcha on the milk foam.

Wonderfully refreshing, healthy and an original summer drink.

Enjoy!
