Almonds and matcha are a match made in heaven. Almonds are loved for their soft, creamy taste. In addition, they can take a place on the list of the healthiest nuts.

They are a source of protein, fiber, magnesium and with a small handful of nuts you get no less than 30% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin E.

Combine this with the health benefits of matcha, and you know that the drink is incredibly healthy.

Furthermore, this almond matcha afrappé is also wonderfully refreshing and super simple to make.

What do you need?

For 1 person:

  • 2 dl almond milk (You should always opt for plant-based milk. You can replace the almond milk with, for example, rice milk, oat milk or soy milk.)
  • ½ tsp matcha powder
  • ¼ tsp vanilla powder
  • 2 ice cubes to mix and some extra ice cubes for in your glass

Preparation

Put the almond milk, matcha powder, vanilla powder and ice cubes in the mixer. Then serve in a glass with lots of ice cubes. Can't be simpler than this! ;-)

This refreshing drink is not only delicious in spring and summer, it is also great in the colder months if you are looking for an alternative to your lattes, teas or water. It is thirst-quenching and nutritious, the ideal drink for a healthy boost!
