Don't have much time for breakfast in the morning? Then overnight oats are definitely something for you, these are oat flakes that have been soaked overnight in milk. You can easily make them the night before and then put them in the fridge. This way you no longer have an excuse to skip breakfast or quickly stuff something in your mouth. ;-)
Overnight oats are all the rage right now, it's extremely popular because the taste is surprisingly delicious. It is also healthy because oatmeal is packed with vitamins, minerals and fiber that give you a long-lasting feeling of satiety and a lot of energy.
In addition, the possibilities are endless, you can make overnight oats in many ways. So feel free to combine and experiment with the ingredients you like best.

Ingredients
(for 1 portion)
- 2 teaspoons of matcha powder
- 100 ml coconut milk
- 100 ml soy milk
- 50 grams of oatmeal
- 10 grams coconut grater
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
For the topping:
- Fruit of your choice (such as banana and blueberries in this recipe)
- Optionally a handful of nuts, seeds or chia seeds
- A pinch of cinnamon
Preparation
- Add all the ingredients (except the fruit and seeds) to a bowl or cup.
- Stir the mixture well and then place it in the refrigerator overnight.
- When you take it out of the fridge in the morning, stir it well first and finish it off with fruit, nuts or seeds. The sweet taste of the fruit goes perfectly with oatmeal. Of course you choose the topping yourself, for this recipe I used a little cinnamon, a mix of seeds, blueberries and banana. A delicious combination!
