Bath salts have many benefits for your skin. It ensures that you step out of the bath silky smooth, and it even has a healing effect.

For example, it would be good for skin problems such as eczema or rough skin. In addition, it has a muscle relaxant effect, making it ideal after a long, stressful day at work.

So only benefits! And did you know there's an easy way to make this yourself? In this blog I show you how to make matcha and coconut bath salts in just a few minutes.

What do you need for homemade bath salts?

This is actually super simple, because you only need 3 ingredients:

  • Bath salts (you can find this at AVA, for example).
  • Essential oil (I chose coconut, because it's good for the skin, and it just smells great. This is also important.) :-)
  • 1 tsp Matcha Powder
  • A bottle that you can close completely

How are you?

Pour the bath salt into the bottle. Add a few drops of coconut fragrance and 1 teaspoon of matcha. I did this completely by feel, because there is no such thing as the perfect dose.

Start with little fragrance and matcha powder, because too much punishment is not good. Shake the bottle and smell if the scent is strong enough. You can always add some extra drops if needed.

Why matcha in bath salts?

Matcha is packed with antioxidants, which are great for your skin. You can view them as little soldiers that protect your skin against free radicals. These are harmful particles that are responsible for premature skin aging. Protect your skin from the outside with a high dose of antioxidants and keep your skin healthy that way.

Add a few spoonfuls to a bath, close your eyes and dream away. Bet you imagine yourself on an exotic beach thanks to the coconut scent. Enjoy!
