Ice creams are inextricably linked to hot summer days. After a nice barbecue or a party with friends, an ice cream always tastes good, it's part of it for me. :-)
Yet there is one problem: I have mentioned it many times in my previous blogs, but unfortunately most ice creams are full of sugar. So it's best to enjoy it in moderation... Excess harms!
Fortunately, I have the solution: my homemade yogurt matcha ice creams contain no sugar and are loved by young and old. This way everyone can eat healthy sweets! Yoghurt is full of protein and calcium and I probably don't have to explain the benefits of matcha to you anymore.
Follow the recipe below and conjure up homemade ice cream in no time.
Recipe for 3 matcha ice creams
Supplies
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- 250 grams Greek yogurt with honey
- A few drops of vanilla extract
- ice molds. Tip: I found these nice green shapes at Casa, you also have them in all kinds of animal shapes. Fun for the kids!
Preparation
- Take 1⁄5 of the yogurt and mix it together with the matcha powder until smooth.
- Put the rest of the yogurt together with the vanilla in a separate bowl.
- Pour the matcha-yoghurt mixture into molds. Then pour the vanilla yogurt mixture over it.
- Don't forget to put the stick in the molds.
- Place the popsicles in the freezer, preferably overnight, so that they are completely frozen.
- When you want to serve the ice creams, run cold running water over the molds. This way you can easily remove the ice cream.
It's a super easy recipe and oh so delicious! Be sure to try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
By the way, you can try this recipe with different things: for example, add some pieces of fruit to the yogurt mixture and experiment with all kinds of flavors.
