With this scorching hot weather I'm so excited for a nice ice cream. You too?

But this time I wanted to do it healthier. You may have heard of matcha ice cream or green tea ice cream?

I do, but…. Matcha tea is completely hip & happening at the moment. Matcha ice cream is still difficult to find with us.

After some searching I came across this simple recipe to make a matcha nicecream. And with all that fruit, it's super healthy.

With only 4 ingredients you have it ready within 10 minutes.

What do you need?

  • 1.5 frozen banana
  • Handful of (frozen) mango
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • Splash of vegetable milk (e.g. Alpro Vanilla)

Preparation

  1. The night before you cut a ripe banana into slices and put it in a bag in the freezer
  2. The next day, take the banana and mango out of the freezer
  3. Put the milk, bananas, mango and matcha powder in a blender
  4. Mix until you get a smooth mass
  5. Spoon the nice cream into a bowl
  6. Finish with fresh fruit or toppings
  7. Lets eat!
