Fortunately, drinking water doesn't have to be boring, add some fruit as an extra flavor and you immediately have a nice and tasty alternative! Put a large jug in plain sight on your desk or workplace, and then there are no more excuses for not drinking enough. :-)
Infused water with fruit, herbs or vegetables
Fruit water, infused water, fruit water.. there are different names but it always comes down to the same thing. You add herbs, fruit or vegetables to your water and that makes the taste just a bit more exciting. It also looks much tastier and more cheerful, an ideal drink for the summer!
Because you only add pure ingredients, this is also a much healthier alternative to soft drinks.

2 recipes to pimp your water
Slices of orange, blueberries, strawberry and matcha
- Boil a splash of water and add it to 1 tablespoon of matcha. Beat well with the bamboo beater so that there are no more lumps.
- Fill a large pitcher with water, pour in the matcha mixture and stir well.
- Then cut orange, blueberries and strawberry into pieces.
- Add the fruit to the jug and let steep overnight in the refrigerator.
Mint, ginger and lemon
Ginger, lemon and mint are super healthy. Ginger has an anti-inflammatory effect, lemon boosts your immune system and mint stimulates your digestion.
- Fill a jug with water, then cut the mint, ginger and lemon into pieces.
- Add the pieces to the jug and let this combination steep overnight as well.
In principle, you can add any kind of fruit or vegetable to your water, be sure to experiment with the flavors that you like best.

1. How do you serve it?

Prefer to take it to work? There are drinking bottles with a fruit filter , which ensures that you do not always ingest a piece of fruit when drinking.
2. Can you make it with frozen fruit?
Frozen fruit is fine for infused water. In the summer it is even extra refreshing.
If you put a few bags in your freezer, you always have enough fruit at home.
3. What kind of fruit can I make it with?
In principle, you can add any kind of fruit or green. It is best to choose organic and unsprayed ingredients. Also, rinse your fruit well before using it.
4. How long should the fruit steep?
It is best to let it infuse long enough. The longer, the stronger the taste. For optimal results, leave it in the fridge overnight.
5. How do I make it even sweeter?
Do you prefer it a little sweeter? Then you can add some honey. Would you prefer even more taste? You can also dilute your infused water with tea of your choice.
6. Do I use still water or sparkling water?
You can use both still water and sparkling water. With sparkling water you create a super tasty lemonade that is wonderfully refreshing on hot summer days.
