There's nothing quite like a warm apple dessert on a cold day. Apples are super versatile, you can make so many different recipes with them: from starters and main courses to desserts. And what could be better than a soft, sweet apple with crispy shortcrust pastry? :-) Today I made a delicious warm apple crumble with cinnamon and matcha. This is also an original recipe for the holidays!
Supplies
- 1 kilogram of apples
- 200 grams of butter
- 300 grams of white sugar
- 300 grams of flour
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- Pinch of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of the Golden Matcha
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Add the flour, white sugar and golden matcha to a bowl and mix together with your hands.
- Add the butter to the bowl (cut into chunks)
- Mix this mixture with your hands until a crumbly dough forms.
- Cut the apples in 4. You remove the core, but you can keep the skin. Cut these apples into slices.
- Take a second bowl and put the apples in it, along with the brown sugar and cinnamon powder.
- Grease an oven dish with butter, and place the fruit on the bottom of this dish.
- Pour the shortcrust pastry over the apples. Smooth this layer nicely, but do not press it.
- You put the dish in the oven for at least half an hour (make sure the apples are warm and that your dough is well baked.)
In just 30 minutes and with few ingredients you can put a delicious dessert on the table. With us the dish was empty after a few hours. ;-) Success guaranteed, both for young and old!
