Honey is probably the most well-known remedy for sore throats. It is such a tip that we often received from our grandmothers as children. Honey owes this to its antibacterial and soothing effect. When you eat a spoonful of honey, you lay a protective layer that reduces irritation.

Thyme is a medicinal herb that has been used for centuries for respiratory problems. You can make a cup of thyme tea, but you have to like the taste… For non-enthusiasts there is another solution: add a few drops of essential oil to an atomizer (diffuser).

Such a diffuser is a humidifier, that is, it increases the humidity level inside. That's fantastic if you know that the air in the house is often of poor quality. There is not enough ventilation, and we often suffer from dry air in the house, which is also an important cause of sore throats.
