Are you still looking for ideas for your festive dessert during Christmas? Christmas dinner is not complete without a festive dessert.
You can opt for the classics, but maybe you want to surprise your guests with something different, such as a matcha cream with red fruits, for example. This is an original version of a crème brulée. The special taste and color are perfect for the most magical day of the year!
What do you need for 4 servings?
- 2 salted caramel candies
- 250 ml whole milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ tsp matcha powder
- 2 eggs
- 90 grams of fine granulated sugar
- 8 raspberries
- 16 blueberries (not too ripe)
How do you make this delicious dessert?
- Preheat the oven to 150 degrees. Place half of a caramel candy in four refractory bowls.
- Heat the milk with the vanilla extract and the matcha in a pan (stir constantly).
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until white and frothy, then pour in the warm milk, whisking continuously.
- Fill the bowls with the matcha cream. Are there air bubbles on the surface? Remove them with a spoon.
- Add two raspberries and four blueberries to each bowl.
- Place the bowls in an ovenproof dish and fill with boiling water until the bowls are one-third full.
- Put them in the oven for about 40 minutes. Let the cream cool and refrigerate for another 2 to 3 hours before serving.
A successful dessert that will delight young and old.
Happy Holidays!
Greetings,
Ronny
