There are more and more scientific studies to substantiate and confirm the health claims we already know. It is certain that some of the health benefits have already been scientifically proven. I'd love to tell you all about that!
A recent study shows that curcumin, the compound in turmeric, has an anti-inflammatory effect. It has a positive effect on arthritis, a chronic inflammatory disease. Due to the healing effect, the complaints can be reduced.
Curcumin can also help maintain our brain. A study was conducted that showed that the substance has a positive effect on the Brain-related Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) level. This ensures that the production of new neurons is stimulated.
Research has also been conducted on turmeric in the treatment of cancer . This shows that turmeric can make an important contribution to the treatment. The substance plays a role in apoptosis and can therefore prevent tumors from growing.
The role that turmeric plays in the treatment of cancer still needs further scientific research. Nevertheless, promising results have already emerged from this research, which show that turmeric can play a major role in various diseases.
Turmeric latte or golden milk is therefore very good for you. Could your resistance use a boost? Then this drink might be something for you! Replace your daily cup of coffee or chai latte with a cup of golden milk and be surprised by the creamy and delicious taste.
Enough choice
Did you know that there are about 70 different types of turmeric? The most used from a therapeutic point of view is the Curcuma Longa. The roots of this plant are used medicinally because they contain the component curcumin. Turmeric from this plant contains the most benefits of all turmeric varieties.
There is even a white turmeric root, which contains almost no curcumin and which makes its use quite useless. So make sure that the turmeric you choose comes from the Curcuma Longa.
Do it yourself Golden Milk with this recipe
Turmeric latte is warm, sweet and spicy with a spicy touch. The perfect combination for the fall! The herb is poorly absorbed by our body. But good news: In traditional recipes you will find that it is best to add black pepper, which enhances the absorption of curcumin, the main element in turmeric. That is why it is best to add some black pepper to your cup for a better absorption.
