Admittedly, eating breakfast can sometimes become a bit of a drag. Putting an original and above nutritious meal on the table every time, it is not easy. And when creativity runs out, many people go back to the same breakfast. After a while it gets a bit boring and it's not really varied either...

Fortunately, I regularly share my favorite recipes on the blog and this time it's a delicious matcha smoothie bowl! Talk about a power breakfast, because matcha is packed with healthy substances that give you energy for up to 6 hours! Give yourself a good start to the day with a healthy, tasty and nutritious breakfast.

  • 1 banana (frozen)
  • 1 kiwi

Breakfast smoothie bowl with matcha

Preparation

(for 1 bowl)

  1. Add the almond milk to the blender.
  2. Also add the banana pieces, matcha powder, spinach and chia seeds.
  3. Mix it until smooth. A smoothie bowl is slightly thicker in substance so that the toppings stay nicely. If the mass is too thin you can add some fruit/spinach. Is the mass too thick? Then add some almond milk!
  4. Pour it into a bowl.
  5. Last but not least: add toppings of your choice. Not only tasty, also nice to wake up with!

PS: You can make such a smoothie bowl the night before and put it in the fridge. There you go, now you can no longer use a lack of time as an excuse! :-)
