A mug cake is ideal when you feel like a nice pastry, or when you don't have an oven.

One bag, a few ingredients and a microwave: that's all you need for this delicious dessert.

Because baking doesn't always have to take hours. It can also be done quickly and easily.

This simple matcha mug cake with whipped coconut cream is guaranteed to be a success!

Ingredients for the mug cake

(1 portion)

  • 3 tablespoons of almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon matcha (for the mixture)
  • Some extra matcha (for the topping)
  • ⅛ teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons canderel (or Zusto)
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small carton of coconut cream (for topping)

How are you?

  1. You mix all the ingredients.
  2. Take your favorite cup and pour the mixture into the bag.
  3. Place the bag in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes, depending on the strength of your microwave. A tip: use a toothpick and pierce the cake. If the mixture sticks to the skewer, the cake is not ready yet.
  4. Optional: whip up coconut cream as a topping for your mug cake. Finish with some extra matcha powder for the finishing touch. A tip: do you have coconut cream left? This is also delicious in a matcha latte. ;-)

There you go, your mug cake is ready. Ideal when you fancy something sweet, but don't want to spend hours behind the pots and pans.

Goedemorgen, Ik las met aandacht jullie voorstel van recept. Groot was mijn verwondering om Canderel als zoetstof voor te stellen. Als je dan toch op calorieën wil letten waarom dan niet overstappen naar ’Zusto" dat , als ik goed geïnformeerd ben , een prebiotische en plantaardige voedingsvezel is, dat als gezonde suikervervanger kan gebruikt worden. Het zou 75 % minder calorieën bevatten dan gewone suiker zonder nasmaak en toch niet chemisch. Alvast veel groeten Marianne
